Dutch Passion seed company, from Amsterdam won 1st Prize in the 10th Champions Cup, held at the 2015 Spannabis event in Barcelona.
The award was given for their potent new Skunk selection called The Edge, an easy-to-grow variety chosen for consistently producing 20%+ THC levels under a wide range of growing conditions. The Edge won 1st Prize in the Outdoor category, an award based on strength, taste and a top-quality overall ‘smoking experience’.
The variety is a traditional feminized photoperiod Skunk variety bred primarily for indoor growing, but can also be grown in greenhouses/outdoors in reasonable (Southern/Central European) climates. The Edge is sativa dominant, and has an old-school shiva aroma. The sativa content in The Edge allows for slightly longer inter-nodal distances than normal, helping to contribute to the heavy yields. The Edge takes 8-9 weeks to flower indoors. Outdoors she finishes in mid/late September in the Northern Hemisphere.
